OneSight

OneSight is an international program sponsored by Lenscrafters and the Lion's Club.  Every year the doctors and staff at Today's Eyecare donate close to 100 free eye examinations for those less fortunate in Acadiana.  Lenscrafters in turn donates the glasses.  OneSight sponsors missions across the world to provide gently used eyeglasses collected all year from Lenscrafters and the doctor's offices to individuals in desparate need of vision correction.  Consider donating your old eyeglasses to OneSight to help someone in need.  Get more information by visiting the OneSight website.

On Tuesday morning, December 7th Today's Eyecare and Lenscrafters, along with our local Lion's Club, gave over 50 pair of glasses to needy Acadiana residents. Every year the eyedoctors and staff of Today's Eyecare provide eye exams at no charge for those patients that can't afford glasses. Lenscrafters provides the glasses at no charge to these patients. Breakfast was donated by the local Chic fil a and Great American Cookie Company. We have been providing free eye exams and glasses to those less fortunate every year for the past 15 years. It is a wonderful experience seeing the faces of those getting their new glasses. Many of these patients haven't had new glasses in years and some haven't had glasses at all for many years. It is very fulfilling to know you helped someone see again.
