Optometrist Dr. Mitchell N. Broussard
As a Doctor of Optometry, part of my commitment to my patients is ongoing professional education. As technology and the world around us changes, I have to keep up-to-date, because I have to provide the best care possible for your eyes. I received my B.S. in Biology in 1988 from McNeese State University. I then received my Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1992. I attended clinical externships at Indian Health Services Hospital in Shiprock, New Mexico and Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. I joined the practice in 1994 and am certified in diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases. I am board certified to practice in the states of Texas and Colorado as well as Louisiana and am a member of the American Optometric Association.

I graduated from the University of South Dakota (1988-1992) with a B.S. in Biology. I attended Illinois College of Optometry (1994-1998) in Chicago, IL and received my doctorate of Optometry in May of 1998. My externship rotation included the VA Hospitals in White River Junction, VT and Hot Springs, S.D.
I started practicing in Lafayette in 1998. I am board certified to treat and diagnose eye diseases in the state of Louisiana and am a current member of the American Optometric Association as well as the Louisiana State Association.
I am a proud supporter and doctor partner in the One Sight program. (One Sight provides area residents in need with free eye exams and glasses). We donate patient care to at least 50 patients yearly and work with LensCrafters and the area Lion's Club.
I also do yearly eye exams on the University of Louisiana's Ragin Cajuns baseball team. As a huge baseball/sports fan, I enjoy being able to work with the players.
Optometrist Dr. Crystal A. Mirza
I received a bachelor degree in biological sciences from Louisiana State University. I graduated with honors from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. While attending school I received training at the Bond-Wroten Eye Clinic in Denham Springs, LA and completed a clinical rotation at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Lexington, KY. I am board certified to treat and diagnose eye diseases in the state of Louisiana and am a current member of the American Optometric Association and the Optometric Association of Louisiana.
During optometry school I was involved in a number of volunteer organizations including Student Volunteers Organized in Service to Humanity, which provide free eye exams and glasses to under served areas around the world. Now that I back home in Lafayette I look forward to participating in the One Sight program in conjunction with the Lion’s Club which provides free eye care to those in need in the Acadiana area.
